Above and below are photographs of our new equipment and line markings in our Foundation and Key Stage one playground. The new sand pit is now complete and was built by Mr Coleman one of our Foundation Stage parents. The road markings, hopscotch and football pitch markings were paid for by the grant provided by John Laing , this was secured last year after lots of hard work by Mrs Turner and Mrs Parsons.

In the new Early Years Foundation Stage play is a fundamental part of the curriculum. These pictures show the many ways that play is incorporated into our curriculum. The football pitch, that also can be used for basketball encourages many areas of the curriculum not just physical development.. e.g. language development, team working and social skills.
