Willow Tree

Above are some photographs of the Year 5's residential visit to Willow Tree .
Willow Tree is a safe and secure site with electronic entrance gate and CCTV cameras and provides great access to the countryside. National Curriculum linked resource packs are available for Early Years Foundation Stage, key stages 1 & 2. Topics covered include history, science and technology as well as sport based activities.
As you can see the children thoroughly enjoyed their visit and were always occupied. Another bonus was that the weather was glorious!!

Year 5 were rebels and went to the Tate Modern to learn all about art since 1950. We looked at the work of Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, and later Brigette Riley. We were shown around by an expert in this field and learnt lots about how art has changed in the last 50 years. We all had a go at creating our own masterpieces both in the gallery and back in the classroom. For some of the children it was their first time in a gallery and we made the day truly memorable with a picnic, a walk accross the wobbly bridge and sight seeing in the City of London.
These are some of the beautiful displays in our Year 5 classrooms.
The Creative Curriculum topic this half term is the Egyptians and the Year 5 children are very excited about their
visit to the British Museum next week.
